Our agreement
These terms apply to pet care provided by Nancy Pet Sits in San Jose and the Bay Area. Your written booking details identify the services, pets, location, dates, hours, price, payment timing, and cancellation/refund conditions. Review those details before signing. A request or signed intake does not reserve care until Nancy confirms the booking in writing. Any material change requires a new written agreement.
Services and suitability
Services may include daycare, overnight boarding, house sitting, drop-in visits, walks, and special-event pet attendance. Only services listed in your booking are included. House sitting does not mean continuous presence unless expressly stated. Nancy will discuss suitability and may decline care that cannot be provided safely. No particular behavioral outcome is guaranteed.
Accurate pet information
You confirm you are the owner or authorized caretaker and are at least 18. Give accurate contact details and disclose health conditions, allergies, medications, vaccination status relevant to the service, bite history, escape behavior, reactivity, and other safety concerns. Tell Nancy promptly about changes. Supply appropriate food, equipment, and written routines. Do not submit human medical information or payment credentials.
Medication and care instructions
Medication must be agreed in advance, labeled, and accompanied by clear written dosage and timing instructions. Nancy does not diagnose illness, prescribe treatment, or replace a veterinarian. Procedures beyond Nancy’s agreed capabilities are not included. Any change to medication instructions must come from the owner or veterinarian and be confirmed before administration.
Emergency contacts and veterinary care
Provide a reachable emergency contact, regular veterinarian, and preferred emergency clinic. The separately signed emergency-care authorization and spending limit control Nancy’s authority to arrange veterinary evaluation and treatment. Veterinary availability and outcomes are outside Nancy’s control. You are responsible for charges you authorize.
Your home and property
For care in your home, provide lawful, safe access and disclose other people who may enter, relevant hazards, and any indoor recording devices before service begins. Share keys and access codes directly through a method agreed with Nancy, not through this website. Nancy may use access only for the agreed care. Specify any additional home tasks in the booking details.
Timing, pickup, and supplies
All service times are Pacific Time unless the booking states otherwise. Tell Nancy promptly about delays or changes. Extensions, additional pets, transportation, and special supplies require agreement and may involve additional charges disclosed before acceptance. Contact Nancy if you cannot collect your pet as arranged so a safe care plan can be agreed.
Prices and payment
The written quote states the price, included services, payment due dates, and any agreed deposit. Payment is by Venmo, Zelle, or cash directly to Nancy. This website does not collect payment credentials or process customer payments. Any additional charge must be disclosed and agreed.
Cancellation and refunds
Your booking’s written cancellation/refund policy applies. It must be supplied before you sign; there are no undisclosed cancellation fees. Request changes or cancellation directly from Nancy and obtain written acknowledgment. If Nancy cannot provide the agreed service, charges for the unprovided portion will be refunded, unless you agree to replacement arrangements.
Safety and ending care
If a material undisclosed condition, unsafe environment, or serious welfare concern prevents safe care, Nancy will contact you or your emergency contact to arrange an appropriate handover. Care will not be abandoned without a reasonable transition plan. Any charges or refunds follow the written booking and applicable law.
Responsibility and concerns
Each party remains responsible for their own conduct under applicable law. These terms do not waive responsibility for negligence or misconduct or remove non-waivable consumer rights. Report care concerns promptly with the relevant dates and details so Nancy can investigate and discuss resolution.
Privacy and optional permissions
Nancy uses submitted information for inquiries, pet care, agreements, referrals, and related recordkeeping. Cloudflare stores records and private agreement files; the transactional email provider delivers confirmations. Only authorized administration access and private, expiring document links provide access to records. Optional promotional photo use and marketing consent are separate, are not required for care, and may be withdrawn for future use by contacting Nancy.
Electronic records and signatures
You may review, download, and print the full terms, booking details, and signed record. Electronic signing requires a current browser, email access, and the ability to open and save PDF files. By giving the separate consent, you agree to receive this agreement and its confirmation electronically and intend your typed name to be your signature. Request a paper copy or a paper-signing alternative at no charge by contacting Nancy. You may withdraw consent for future electronic transactions or update your email through Nancy; withdrawal does not undo a completed agreement.
Versions and recordkeeping
The version and effective date shown when you sign, your booking details, and your acceptance record are saved together. Later website edits do not change that signed copy. Records are retained for care coordination, contractual records, referral rewards, and applicable legal requirements. Contact Nancy to request access or correction; signed originals remain preserved with an addendum where needed.

The parties will first try to resolve concerns directly. These terms do not require arbitration or waive access to courts or consumer remedies.
